James started his career making high end, hand crafted furniture in the heart of Bristol. During his time as a maker, he discovered a passion for photography which quickly led into photographing his work for web content and social media. 

For a few years, he juggled two careers until taking a step back from the tools to pursue his photographic endeavours full time. For the last few years, he has shot for interior designers and furniture manufacturers all over Bristol as well as content for brands and small businesses in the city. 

In his free time, he captures his lifelong passion of skateboarding and shoots editorial work for the leading UK and European skateboard publications, Grey, Solo, Vague, Free and The Skateboarders Companion.
